After the airing of the second session of Coke Studio which featured noori’s Tann Dolay, collaboration with Zeb n Haniya, the band received a lot of critical comments. Upon reading and going through most of them, the band felt they should also share their opinion on the recording as well as reveal the surprise, the alternate version of Tann Dolay, recorded in studio recently.

u guys did a great job by accepting the criticism but I dont think that the song was that bad. I really loved it. I dont know y u guys are trying to lower down urself by again and again repeating that u r not grown enough bands and u can make mistakes. I don’t think that u r not grown. u guys make good music and I love ur songs and i do liked ur “Tan Dolay”. so take it easy, dont give a crap to the critics. if u think its a good critique do accept it and learn from it but dont demean urself by apologising like this. great singers also give crap performances sometimes they never apologise.

I think theres nothing wrong with the coke studio version the only thing I found disappointing in it was the performances by musician rather singers and to elaborate my point at about 2:55 the piano chords kicks in which never seem to cut well even though there was no problem with that but as an avid musician I would have wanted to a lead in that particular section that will eventually leave its way out when ali noor and zeb would have picked up with their high notes aalap.
and If I was rohail I would have allowed gumby to go wild with this one.
But then again easier said then done. I have a very high respect for you guys

This is my first writing to you.. have been listening you since my college days.. and u guys do ur real best.
As u guys mentioned that live shows and a cd rip are different .. yes they are vastly different.. and both are good in their own terms..

Tann Dolay is awesome. Every time I listen to it makes my hair stand. Please continue doing similar kinds of songs. You, Zeb and Haniya were awesome. You are my favorite singers in coke studio.
