As of this moment, noori officially stands reunited to it’s original four-man line up; as it was at the launch of their debut album, Suno Ke Main Hun Jawan. Ali Noor and Ali Hamza on Vocals and Guitars, Mohammad Ali Jafri on Bass and Louis John Pinto II a.k.a Gumby on Drums. This is one of those rare moments in music history where all the dispersed original band-members get back together, and no doubt it must be celebrated. Hence, the ‘Gig Not To Be Missed‘!

But as we promised, we wouldn’t let those who missed out on being there to stay out of sync with the celebrations….

So all those fans who have been writing on our walls and website and sending us emails about reuniting, this is the perfect time to scream out that ‘Wooohooo’! … and any thing else you would like to say/do!

Over the next week we will be sharing something or the other about this Gig and the Reunion. So keep visiting this space.

As far as what’s in the future pipe-line? Of course it’s an album! A video or two before that… and straight away, live performances by the ‘Reunited noori’! But let’s keep that for later, for now Let’s Just Celebrate!

They (noori) are calling this A Gig ‘NOT TO BE MISSED!!’. Why? …. You will only find out on May 6th! There is no doubt one of the biggest surprises this band will ever share with their fans!

But mind you, this is a highly exclusive performance, and there are VERY LIMITED SEATS available. If you are lucky enough, you will get to see it live, in front of you. The song was an instant hit and so was the campaign. The success of the Walls campaign can be gauged simply from the fact that within a month of it’s launch, the new product (i.e. Cornetto Double Chocolate) had sold out countrywide and, in fact, the manufacturers went out of stock, unable to further produce the ice cream. The video was followed by a number of PR activities, Lucky Draw, a Concert and a Special Dinner for the winners of  the Lucky Draw.

And now, that the compaign has come to an end, the band decided to record a studio jam version of the song (one which they perform live at concerts) and share it with their fans.

The sponsors have also been kind enough to send the band a bunch of ‘Jhoom Lay’ packages, each containing a T-shirt, CD of the song, File Cover and a Mug. And, since noori is all about fans, the band has decided to give away these packages through a competition.

Also we felt the need to talk about the randomly discovered noori Wikipedia page. You can’t always believe what you read on the net!!

Because, so many of you have shown us how talented you are by sending us your work. We are now going to put up your stuff in our studio entrance. So that every time we enter to record we are reminded who we do all this for – that would be our fans. Thank you. Enjoy the video and give us feedback.

Amidst many uncertainties, noori has been dealing with a series of false concert promotions, mainly  in Islamabad. It is becoming evident that a racket of ‘Fraud Promoters’ is operating (quite regularly) in our beloved capital. They promote events without formally booking the artists and, since it’s a small city where word of mouth spreads like fire, everyone’s buying tickets for a concert which isn’t even confirmed by the artists being promoted. Surprisingly, a large majority of these concerts have been promoted with noori as the headlining act. Although it’s a great signal for noori, in terms of it’s popularity in the National Capital, it’s quite a malicious act on part of this racket.

Our fan’s mean a lot to us and therefore, to ensure that none of you end up spending on hoax Noori concert tickets we intend to post all concerts on our website. Remember, in case we have not made a post feel free to email us and double check.
