As I was not in the country for CS2, I only just really seriously listened to your Kedaar! The classical fusion in the composition is just brilliant! More of this is required! Fo me, the way to go for Noori is more of folk/sufi/classical fusions! Perhaps you (or Rohail) can, in the future introduce an element of more jazz with a sax! You would agree, it is one of the most brilliant musical instruments to have in one’s ensemble.
Hi Guys,
You have proved that music knows NO borders. Ive heard you guys in sitting in dhaka and me being an Indian. The song sung in coke studio recording with the great saieen zahoor is simple outstanding !!
You are truly great rockers and i can tell you that this song will go down go in HISTORY as one of the finest melodies ever composed.
How can i say this as ive heard as close to all genres of music from and this compostion is purely melodious and flows smoothly.
One can actually feel that he is has gone into trance.
trust me i vow to take this song the music community back home and not make them deprived of such a masterpiece.
Keep up the good work
God bless with you more such pure melodies.
Cheers
Sumit
Ok, This is a brilliant piece of ballad music!!! I agree with Rohail that it is the piece de resistance of CS 2! It kinda grows on you….
“Aik Alif” in my opinion has no equal in the contemporary music coming from Pakistan. It moves one like no other song with the fusion of sufi music. What you have done with Saeen Zahoor in this piece is not only great music, but it has brought together one of the greats of Pakistani folk scene to the forefront of contemporary music. Please Keep it up. I am not in the loop with regards to where your work with the Coke studios is at nowadays but it would be a treat to listen to you guys doing “mujhay roko” in the studios. It cannot get any better than that.
Thank you!
