The album is out and so is a brand new video! The song is called Nishaan and, in its essence, it is all about coming back with a Bang!
Directed and edited by Mandana Zaidi and Umar Amanullah, the video is a full-fledged noori production and has been filmed at the W.Z. Studios, Lahore.� After this production the band has become quite confident that it can manage to create its own videos. Once again (as was in the case of the previous album) noori hopes to release as many videos from this album, as possible. The fact that most noori songs have been written with the visual in mind, justifies the band�s position to be actively involved in making their videos; and, of course, the have a great time doing it!
The song Nishaan talks about how one goes into hiding and then returns to the world much stronger than before, and equipped with new ideas. The video tries to communicate the same.

It has almost been a year since noori decided to take a chill pill; and then, a few months down the line, nooriworld.net was shut down! There were two reasons for doing so. Firstly, the band line-up had changed and the previous site had been designed incorporating all four members, hence the need for a new design. Secondly and more importantly, noori was on a break. However, they still continued posting journal entries, updating their fans on their progress with the new album. But when the album was completed and everything was ready, the darn factories shut down. Everything came to a full stop and so did nooriwold.net!
In fact the previous web-interface had been designed to set stage for the next one. And so it did, with a slight delay!
Today, as noori launches their second album � Peeli Patti Aur Raja Jani Ki Gol Dunya (PPRJKGD) � it gives us great pleasure to welcome you back to nooriworld!
One may and may not call this a �totally new website�. Why it is not different from the previous one is because the site structure is very similar to what it was in that version. To put it simply, we have almost the exact same links as we did before � in fact less. But what makes this site different from every single one of the previous versions, is its graphic and technical design.
In both aspects mentioned above, we can confidently say that, this website is far superior to its predecessors.
For PPRJKGD, noori had clearly decided that a consistent graphic theme will be followed for the entire tenure of this album. The website incorporates the same (and so does the album cover design and even many of the band�s photographs you will see on this site and else where).
Technically, this site has been designed using (mainly) PHP � a dynamic language built specifically for web applications utilizing a database. Generally this language is used for websites which require regular updates on an almost daily basis (examples include online news magazines and stores). And this is exactly why we needed to utilize this language!
It was a common complaint, with all previous versions of nooriworld.net, that they were never updated regularly. And the only reason for this was, that it is a very cumbersome process to update a static site built on simple HTML. But now, with our new technical design, this complaint will be resolved once and for all!
I guess we have said more than enough!
