Ali Noor didn't say that the bass wasn't played well or anything... it's the SOUND QUALITY that's not good... that has nothing to do with JAFRI... it's just that the RECORDING is not of a very good quality... not that he didn't play the guitar well! The sound quality has nothing to do with Jafri's talent.
very right all i meant to say was that the album would get more late in coming out |

but i read in images today quoted: "the new bassist is Ali Hamza and according to Ali Noor the sound quality of the recording with jafri aren't up to the standard and they might have to redo all the tracks with Ali Hamza"
now getting all the way popular with jafri for their previous album being a super dooper hit the sound quality justification seems quite lame;)
i dun think so that ali noor sayin like dat duH !!! |

Posted - 02 January 2005 : 06:07:52 AM i thought it was universally agreed that noor was better when he stuck to vocals, and only vocals...? and if murtuza jaffer is to solve the guitarist problem as a session player, i thought it was also unanimous that two guitarists are necessary.
i don't doubt that hamza will be a competent bassist, but with jafri gone there seems to be dearth of a musician. noori may be better off with something similar to the junoon situation, how mekaal hasan has been employed on a guest basis.
the effect of noori minus a guitarist may not be evident in album recordings, but it's probable there'll be negative consequence in live performances, which was the very aspect critics and fans alike were anticipating improvement in. |

Its InshAllah not going to be that hard... Take these considerations... Back in 2001-02, Ali Noor did the lead vocals and guitars, Jafri did the bass and Salman Albert/Farhad Humayun did drums..and there wasn't any rythm guitars in live concerts.. and the performances were much better then than they are now.. Ali Noor gets better vocal control while playing the guitar.. All the rythm guitars in the older songs were done by Ali Noor (He did a lot of compositions all by himself.. Ooncha hoon main being an example.. he did all the guitars, drums and bass) , or for that matter Salman Albert (refer to the mujhe roko unplugged video)
And as we all know, Ali then switched solely on vocals with Hamza playing both lead/rythm guitars, and jafri on bass, gumby on drums.. what they did was, they put bass on distortion so that there was enough heaviness in the music, which allowed hamza to concrentate on higher notes (which is why some performances turned out poor and you could hear hear bass and vocals more than the guitars and drums).. So we might either see this option or the 'old noori performance strategy'.. I hope they do the latter.. I however have a feeling that they'll have this lineup temporarily until they find a new bassist or a new guitarist.. but then again, there's always Murtaza Jafar to play for them in live sessions Anyway, good luck, Hamza bhai.. I remember you kind of used to hate bass guitars
well i like this strategy mobeeen :) n i think so do u n alinoor also looks really kool on guitar plus vocals n he really do play guitar really good n i think now we will gonna see much more new things by alinoor hmm......cant wait to see them live in concert man :) anywayz bestofluck nooooriiiiii |
