Even before the formation of noori as a band Ali Noor was approached by film producer Sajjad Gul to write a song for an upcoming Pakistani movie. Ali Noor teamed up with Aqeel Rubi who penned down the lyrics according to the visual of the scene in the movie. Even though the film never materialized, this song has become one of the most loved noori tracks.
The Video
The video to this song started off as an exploration of new video editing software and getting to learn how to use it. Mariam Pasha, a friend and the director of the video, urged Ali Noor and Jafri to make this into a full-fledged music video and so was born the first noori video which features Ali Noor alone.

| thats a song all Pakistanis like hehe, atleast on my side of Pakistan, this one was hit since it was aired, great n good! good lyrics, and quite surprisingly it was a better video that any of the videos of dil ki qasam, skmhj, neend ayay na etc! |

This song is all time hit.Its vdo really suited the tune of the song,featuring Ali noor alone at night roaming in his car and is one of thee best noori vdoz.
I also thought Need Aye Na's Vdo to be on the same concept,with ali noor alone in his home at night couldn't sleep coz always A cut out in his mind comes of his lost love.Roaming here and there in his house in dark.This was my idea of the neend aye na vdo,but it was never like this otherwise it would also have been a hit. |

One of my most favourite discussed topics finally becoming official... A well made video, a well composed and sung song (even though it was a test according to Ali bhai).. This counts as another of Noori's good videos.. As the other members put it, the video isn't of high budget.. Its lyrics, if read carefully and paid detailed attention, can be classified into two songs. One could be about a girl who was in love and still has feelings for the guy but has ended up as a prostitute.. A very clear explanation of this can be shown in one of the tulsi videos directed by Naveed Thanvi which features Nomi.
Other side of this can be that it is being sung from a prostitute's perspective. The opening lyrics (dhol ki taal pe gaa re, gaa re dil jhum ke gaare, apna har dard chupa ke, nach aur sab ko nacha re, mukh pe ghoongat daaley, naina do matwaley) and the middle chorus (raith ka mehel banaaya, haath tere kuch na aaya, jhok mere dil ki ujdi, aas ka diya bhujaaya, bichri yaadein dekhkei, pyaar sab se leikey (hint hint!)) clearly depict this.. The soft guitars and Turkish drums contribute to the enlightening music.
To wrap it all up, the entire team went around Lahore and discovered the obvious area for all this; the Red light district (or often called Diamond Market or Heera/Hira Mandi). Ali Noor drove around motionlessly and it all just fit in. This song's just great. |
