Perhaps the most misunderstood song on the album. It's not about having a good time and partying all night, it's a satire about people who live their lives in a state of delusion and escapism; people who turn their backs to the reality of life creating their own feel-good world. And all they can say about it is �la la la la la la la la la la la la!�
The Video
This video became one of the most talked-about issues in the media world. Brimming with controversy, the video was initially edited by Baber Sheikh, the director, and had the screen divided into four equal sections showing four different scenes simultaneously which was later referred to as the �four- dabba version�. Subsequently, a �one-dabba-version� was decided upon and re-edited by the band themselves which raised the controversial issue of whether this was a fair move or not. | i would call this a meaning less yet catchy song ehehe no offence but when i listed to it as a critic, i cant make out where the lyrics started and where they went !! lolz anyways, i like this song because of its video the 4 daba version, i saw its making and i just knew about tum hans diyay then so i liked this one too |

One complaint I have about the introduction to this song is that the band (I'm assuming these are their words) claim that this song is the most misunderstood out of all the Noori songs since people generally take it by its literal (and visual) meaning and write it off as a non-serious song aboout the headiness of youth and the 'lalalala's only confirm that opinion. It has been revealed (about time!) that the song is, in fact, about the people who wish to forget their troubles with an escapist policy. I assume that would apply to artificial simulation of the 'highs' as well. A perfectly acceptable and viable message to send, especially towards the youth.
The but I have a problem with however, is the band's making a totally fluff-oriented video with fans jumping up and down and the band prancing about having a good time. Nothing wrong with that, per se, provided that is what the song is about. However, the band claims the song has more depth to it. My question, therefore, is that why didn't the band create a video that would hint at the hidden depth of the song, rather than reinforcing the happy-happy (and incorrect) interpretation of the song? |

Right. Btw, thats for the first time ever since SKMHJ launched, we are given THIS interpretation of the song. NO one, i think is going to be able to deduce the deeper meanings of song if they go by the visuals given to the lyrics. Besides, if the song is supposed to be sarcastic in nature, lyrics dont show that at all, quite contrary to that, they actually reflect the HAPPY GO LUCKY nature.
I hope some clarification might be given by the Band. |

i always thought that gana no 1 is abt partying and enjoying life..but its not...
i like the lalala part alot n the fact that its so lively makes me wanna listen to the song again n agian:D
as far as the video is concerned....i didnt like the four dabba verison at all..seriously:S
when babar shiekh told us abt how the video was gonna be just before we were gonna start shooting...i didnt like the 4 dabba idea at all!but ofcourse i cudnt say anything..hhehe..i mean cmon...watching it on a 14 inch tv???nothing wud show..n when i saw the video i was disappointed!!not bcoz i cudnt see myslef much..well ofcourse that was one reason....but the other was..that..the video was very haphazard n werid..didnt satisfy me at all..
but when the single dabba came out..i was pretty happy:Dit was so colourful n lively:Dn evetything was clear..n i was happy that i cud see myslef alot of my times in the video:D n abt the fact that everybody was there made me happy..baber sheikh didnt even bother to show the everbody in the 4 dabba version..noori..u did a great job by bringing the single dabba version:D
n abt the lyrics...i really like them:D |

i agree wid minhas in a way...
its a very catchy, happy-go-lucky song...which takes me outta my tensions...its one song tht i can happily sing along wid .. n also forget all the problems i have...for a certain amount of time... |

| oh i forget to say one thing..i like listening to the song not only bcoz its really fast n lively n gets me in a good mood..but also bcoz it reminds me of the gana no 1 shoot which was the one of the best days of my life:Deverytime i listen to the song i feel like getting up n start dancing like we did for the video:D |

by this line"saray jag ke jalay auzaar".the video is nice.vocals,guitars and drums are all nice. |

Now heres my song;)....after all Noor and Hamza called us the "gana no 1 ki models:P"...Oh before i start i wana correct one little thing abt the lyrics....cos its not Saare jag ke JALAY awazar.Its actually SAare jag ke CHALE awazar.Cos ali noor told us wat it means at the shoot.It means saare uthe(jaag ke) ke chale awazar(i think it means in search of different places).So with the word JAle u competely change the meaning.The song starts with how everyone gets up from like a sleep and goes in search for their destination...blah blah.Kher whenever i listen to the lalalala t reminds me of the countless times ali noor and babar sheikh made us scream lalalala at the top of our voices!Uff it was great.The song is just crazy!i love it...it always makes me wana jump up and dance like im danicng infront of the camera agaiN!Its just so catchy.the lyrics are abt how everyone is looking for their destinbation at one point and how most ppl are just so carefree and least bothered abt all their worries...blah blah:P...Anyway..the vdo was supposed to b like that.Ali noor sed that hes gona show how every person is dancing to nooris song.For eg they showed a vj/.Then they showed a guy in a suit and a school boy.It dint qquiet cum out that well but that was the whole idea behind it.Well i just wana say that this is also one of my fav songs. it rocks!..

the song gana no .1 is really a gana no.1 :)
the starting is meningless... or mayb we need to getmore into it to know what ali noor wanted to say...
but the main part with "jhoomay sari zameen...."
just caught me in it...it's sucha great song with a great feeling of being happy n having fun ...
thsi song just make me start dancing lolz
