Tum Hans Diyay
(music & lyrics Ali Noor)
(video directors Usman Zaidi & Ali Jafri)
The music for this song came out of a very old jam session that the band happened to record. Much later when these recordings were being reviewed Ali Noor discovered that hidden within that session was what is now called Tum Hans Diye. The song itself is based upon women in our society who have repressed their own self and are without a voice, and most times don't even realize it!
The Video
This video was really the first that the band did in any conscious manner. The entire video has been shot in a small room full of tinsel on the walls and also hanging from the ceiling, the floor was lined with paper shreds. In the video the directors, Usman Zaidi and Ali Jafri, called in an all-girl cast who were asked to �just act natural�. Most of the time they didn't even know when the camera was on!

what i like about this song is the fact that this song attracted me towardds noori, i would be in my room and there would e an ad on advertisement in which they were singing t live, since them i'm in love with this song, and its video is quite funny too, and ali noor looks good in the video, but the yellow color gives the studio a look of a SABZI-WALA shop  like in lahore n pindi hehe |

this vdo has an excellent tune
i like this song the most on playing the guitar
whenever i touch my guitar i just play the starting of this song
it is good
this song was very nice and it brought the uprising of noori |

I have fond memories attached to this song and video. A friend had recommended a song called Manwa Re by some guy "Ali something" available on the internet and I had recently caught the video and was surprised to see the video for THD because Ali Noor looked drastically different, younger even. The day I saw the video was the day we were leaving for Dubai. All around the airport and subsequently Dubai, I would start humming or singing "Nahi Rona, Yaara Na Rona" at odd moments and even got my brother and sister stuck on the song. When we got back to Karachi, BoB was over and Noori's THD and Manwa Re had really caught on. Still one of my favorites off this album and I absolutely love the initial half minute.

As for the video, this is one of the Noori videos I absolutely love. been an early favorite and would still be my pick of the Noori crop (excluding Manwa Re since both the song and video were originally Ali Noor rather than Noori). As Bono said once, the idea of a band in a room with girls popping in and out of the frame and spontaneously playing with the instruments and having fun was fresh and worked very well that time. Of course, Ali Noor's dramatic change of image and a drummer that was prettyeasy on the eyes didn't hurt the band's image either. |

Ahaan .. Excellent Song. NO matter whoever call it a commercial/poppy song , i Love it. It was the first official Single released for the album SKMHJ, and was anticipated very eagerly by the masses. MAQ wrote a wonderul review of the videoshoot he attended and it increased the curioisty about the song.
First hear and again , felt like it was a very U2ish starting to the song, the opening few chords which actually made me like the song even more :$ ... Although that was the non-album release.. album version was even better , better quality and the finish product was quite awesome. But the best thing about the song , the video. Its video ONE OF ITS KIND at the time it was released, truly a new concept and a very unique one too which made it a very successful video. Band looked good. Ali noor sprang surprises because people had associated him with that sober bearded loook of Manwa Re, and in this video there we have an all new ALi Noor , shining, jumping and prancing in a shaven look. Quite an effect it was. Good Video, Even better song, esp the middle pause and small drum solo to kick start it again, that ROCKS ! Very energetic number .

This song is my favourite of all time since i heard it for the first time,I always listen to this song first when i play the CD,it really gives me a hype and its lyrics r also very attracting and natural.
Its vdo is also one of my favourite noori vdoz,thats why i dont know how, while ringing the im award no. in best vdo category after the tone i recorded tum hans diyay's vdo as the best vdo.Its concept was wonderful girls jumping here and there and busy in there own activities really made it more colourful.

although i'm not one to single out favorites usually, "thd" most definitely holds an edge over most other songs on the album; the melody and composition are refreshing, not to mention the enormous playback potential.
have to disagree with you guys, though, abid and misha. yeah, perhaps the direction of the video was a novel idea and was a more dynamic approach in comparison to contemporaries, but i absolutely loathed the superficial, unnatural, blowing-kisses-at-the-camera bull they tried to pass as videographic merriment. i was extensively turned off by the song and consequently extremely critical of noori in every other regard and it took a looong while to recuperate. the severe devastation was probably considering that this was my first exposure to noori videos, and that's always a rude awakening, i suppose. but yes, one does get accustomed. |

bas jiss per suite nahi karte usko nahi rakhne chahiye long hairs
but long hairs suites alinoor n humza only bas gumby bhi acha lugta hai likkin i prefer short hairs.... |
