Digital Fidelity and Xth Harmonic use software as well. The term "studio quality" is relative, and CAN be achieved via software. In fact, most recording studios today use software (either during recording, mixing, or mastering.. or all 3). There is nothing wrong with Cakewalk Home Studio. Infact most Cakewalk recording software is reliable and will do the trick. The trick is to get the music INTO the computer sounding good (a combination of good instruments, talent, and ofcourse the soundcard!) Fangs, what are you trying to record?
