Suno Ke Main Hun Jawan

(video director Sohail Javaid)
The name says it all. This title track is the oldest song written specifically for this album and is dedicated to the youth of today. This song was performed for the first time in 1998 in front of a group of junior-school students. It is ironic that although this song has now become an anthem since the release of the album the band still recalls that junior-school performance in which none of the kids seemed at all interested in listening to this song!
The Video
Conceived and directed by one of the more prolific music video directors in our industry, Sohail Javed, this video depicts the youth of today and is dedicated to them. For the casting of the video a competition was held for the performance section in which scores of fans got the chance to appear in this video and later hang out with the band. Laiqa Hasan was called in for the styling and Mal for the wardrobe. Since the band had handed over all responsibility of the video production to Sohail Javed not much is known about the pre-concert part of the video, and Sohail keeps all his trade secrets to himself!

| its a nice song, though i didnt like it much at first, but now i like it very much, its video was not so great as i expected and was really disappointed with all that, but anyways, the song rulz! |

Again. Trademark Noori. Make video with LITERAL meanings of the lyrics. Cmon Guys... you are intelligent fellows, excellent lyrics in this song.. and all wasted, AGAIN, with the visual aspect ! No one will praise the technicalities of the video, no matter how slick it was, people will still remmeber lack of content in the video to do justice to the song.
Sigh, its turning out to be same story for ALL the noori songs with videos, with exception of Manwa re and THD.
Sohail Javed made a pretty smooth video with nice editing and great shots, and for once band looked AWESOME !! never before they took care of their looks in a video. This time it was worth the try. Anyways... Song sounds very poppish , but the solo is electrifying and so is the ending of the song, which is quite upbeat and motivational. |

To be honest, I liked the unreleased version of this song more than the album final cut. The album version seems and always has seemed a bit lackluster to me, but that's just my opinion. Straightforward song, not much to it besides being a 'jawaan-anthem', and not one of my favorites from the album.
As for the video, the kids were cute, but overdone. Some sharp eyed fan noted and commented on the lack of sideburns for Ali Noor. What was that all about? Word from the official sources was that this video was the first one in which Noori went with a stylist for a more cohesive look that went with the video, and it's paid off. The band look good, performance is short and energy-filled, but the various kids making their way to a concert wasn't really as inspired an idea as it may have seemed in the planning stages. So-so video, nothing memorable enough to make it stand out whenever videos in Pakistan are discussed. |

| For that matter, i think only Manwa Re and THD can ever make the cut , if videos in Pakistan are going to be discussed. Manwa re was first LOW budget video, no money spent but video kicked posterior and THD was first of its kind, and was truly refreshing and unique in idea. Thats another point that follow up videos totally ruined that effect. |

and bout the song it rocks cause it shows our independence tht v r now JAWAN and can handle our situations our self
and i really like the cover page of da album all 4 of dem were soo cute

Well amazing song.. is directed at the new generation...n tht's the majority of the noori fans...
the vdo was not bad as well...shows different teenagers, wid different likings, but they do have tht one thing in commin, the desire to be free...not a bad concept! |

I luved the song b4 the vdo..after the vdo :SSSSSSSSSSS
I didnt like it at all..cos when ever I attempted to hear it the bacha party popped up outta no where..really disappointed by the vdo. |

i m just sort of sick of this song
coz its the first song of the album so venever i put it on
it goes like skmj & goes on

but its not all that bad
though the lyrics make no sense to me |

AA.yaar gana tou obviously baut achha hai,aur vdo bhi achhi hai,but its not da noori type vdo thou,n dats wats disappointin in it,it aint da real noori vdo.it cudve been made per4mance based,accordin 2 ma idea kahir but still it waz gud. |
